SCOOTER ACCIDENTS ON THE RISE IN SCOTTSDALE
A few years back it was Lime and Ofo bikes everywhere around Scottsdale. This past year, the scooters have moved in. Although the clutter on the sidewalks may be down, the number of accidents resulting from Scooter riders is quickly climbing around Scottsdale. According to the Scottsdale Progress, over 22 trauma-related Scooter accidents have been reported at Scottsdale Osborne Medical Center alone. Many of these accidents are reported to be alcohol related and involve head injuries. Since it is not uncommon to see scooter riders without helmets winding their way in and out of traffic this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Naturally we want Scottsdale to be a fun community but safety is also a concern. As the Scottsdale City Council continues to deal with this growing issue, you can reach your elected officials by email at: https://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/council to let them know any of your thoughts and concerns on this matter.
68TH STREET BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES
If you have tried recently to travel south on 68th Street past Camelback, you will have noticed the recent road closures which are expected to last through March. The 68th Street bridge which crosses the canal south of Camelback was demolished this past week due to structural defects and is expected to be rebuilt and reopened in a few months. For those who have noticed the recent drop in the water level of the canal in this area, well, it was to allow for the construction of the new bridge. So, if you saw some strange “objects” at the bottom of the canal (we noticed a couple of ride-sharing bikes – LOL) and were always curious how big the fish are that swim on the canal, you might have missed your chance. The canal has since been patched and refilled and the new bridge should be operational within weeks.
I AM HONORED TO NOW BE PART OF THE TOP AGENT NETWORK (TAN)
I was recently designated as a member of the exclusive “TOP AGENT NETWORK” which means my access to many of the top agents with unlisted (ie non-MLS listings) has now been greatly enhanced both locally and nation-wide. This designation goes to the top 10% of real estate agents across the country and provides me with even better access and tools to help my clients that most real estate agents do not have access to. So, if you or somebody you know are interested in looking for more exclusive pocket-listings in 2019 and/or if you want to sell your home without listing your home publicly on the MLS, please give me a call today (490) 980-9850. Why is this important? Because up to 30% of houses for sale are not publicly advertised and some people simply want more privacy when selling their homes (i.e. divorce, separations, celebrities, etc.) and want to work with more qualified and exclusive buyers.
ANOTHER HAPPY CLIENT LETTER RECEIVED:
I always LOVE receiving letters and emails from my clients. Below is another I recently received…Thank you Craig and Alex!
It is our immense pleasure to recommend Lisa Goldman as a real estate agent for any individual or family searching for the ideal home or to list your current home for sale. We were moving from California to Arizona and Lisa was with us on the entire journey from moving, to renting for 8 months, and finally to our eventual move into the home that only Lisa would have been able to get us into.
To her credit, we are probably the most difficult to clients to please. Our precise and rigid criteria for our perfect home at the price we were willing to pay was quite admittedly in the unicorn zone. She was extremely patient in showing us as many homes as we needed to see, and was skilled at not showing us the homes she knew just were not going to be a good fit. We know this for a fact because we would point out a home for sale to her and she would breakdown exactly why we wouldn’t be interested and she was always right.
Finally, the home she did end up finding for us that we agreed was the perfect selection was only possible because of her professional connections to get us in to make the offer early (first) and her relentless pursuit of finding the perfect home as soon as it became available.
Pick Lisa as your agent on either side of the deal and you can rest assured that she has
your best interests in mind.
